Melissa has many years of experience in the management of small businesses; which include financial services and insurance. She has a nearly 20 year history of performing all accounting/bookkeeping functions and that is the role that she currently fills with MFHI.
Melissa has 2 children; just recently became a first time Grandma and couldn’t be more proud. Melissa and husband, Mark love to travel in their spare time and are avid art and antique collectors.

Ryan has been in the insurance industry since 2014 and his primary focus has been the under 65 market. His role with My Family Health Insurance is Agent Servicing and Marketing.

Ryan is married with four children and enjoys time with his family, sports, the outdoors, and reading.

Having over 17 years in insurance sales, both as an agent and business owner, Mark specializes in helping agents to meet the challenges they are facing. He describes these challenges and lays a solid plan to overcome these obstacles in his new book and is also expanding into the area of education; through online courses, blogs, and podcasts.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys hunting, gardening and travel.

I was born in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1988 where my family lived and raised me until I reached the age of 2. We then moved to Northern Michigan where we bought a farm and I spent the rest of my childhood years. My love for horses started when I was 4 years old, which lead to me joining 4-H and showing at county fairs around the area. From then on my summers were spent at local fairs camping out all week with my horse and family. I also enjoyed sports and spent a lot of time cheer leading, playing basketball and running track in school prior to graduating in 2006. Shortly after, I moved out of Michigan to numerous states including Missouri, Colorado, Arizona and Nebraska before coming back to Michigan in 2011.
I have 3 beautiful children and a Fiance with whom I love spending most of my spare time. My pets include a black lab named Kobe and a bunny named Fluffy. My love for the outdoors includes camping, ATV’s, the beach, running, kayaking, tubing, sightseeing and exploring new things but most of all hunting and fishing.
I have a strong passion for helping people and my caring personality allows me to put others needs before my own. I look forward to the new people I will meet and being able to take care of all their insurance needs both currently and in the future.

I was born in Baltimore, MD and lived in the U.S. until age 5 but actually grew up in France and Germany… my mother was French and my father, who was American, worked for the U.S. Government both in France and Germany. My
parents had met and married in France during WWII. I initially lived / grew up in France from 1953 to 1966. My family then moved to Germany where I lived from 1967 to 1979. While living in France, I graduated in 1966 from (an American) High School in Orleans, France; attended the University of Maryland (at European Campus in Germany) and received my B.A.
in Business in May 1971. I then attended Boston University (also at the European Campus in Germany) and received my Master’s Degree in International Relations / Political Science in June 1973.
In 1974, I started working in the European division of a U.S. -based / American international company as a Sales Representative in Germany. I was promoted to General Manager for the company’s European Division in 1976 and based in Frankfurt, Germany. I then transferred back to the U.S. in 1979 with the same company. After working in the company’s U.S. operations for a few years, I accepted a position as Vice President of the Pacific Division; was initially based
in Guam in 1982 for 2 years and then transferred to Honolulu, HI for 5 years where I was responsible for the company’s Pacific operations in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Guam, The Philippines and Hawaii. ​
After working in Hawaii for 5 years, I transferred to the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX in late 1989. I left that company in 2002 — my wife and I made a decision to move up to Northern Michigan. We settled in Cadillac, MI where we have been living since late 2002. In 2003, I decided to get into the medical insurance business, became an Insurance Agent, and went to work for Employee Benefit Solutions, Inc. I am now a part-owner of Employee Benefit Solutions, Inc., as of August 2015 and also hold the position of Vice President of Sales. I really enjoy selling insurance to both groups and individuals and providing the best possible insurance at the most competitive prices.
